Granner Wood, Presteigne, Powys Beggars Bush Lane ?

Richard Green says that it is a Green Lane, following Offa’s Dyke for a short while, but the name is not used by locals now. Ivan Moncton disputes this.

The site is about 1¼ miles from the Beggars Bush at Evenjobb, so are likely to be related.

Granner Wood is woodland owned by the Woodland Trust, whose website says “Granner Wood is prominently located on a hill overlooking the village of Evenjobb. The wood is an ancient woodland site, which was replanted with sessile oak and a mix of conifers in the 1950s. . . . .The highest point of the site has been planted with Scots pine and this forms a very visible skyline when the site is viewed from Evenjobb. The earthwork Offa’s Dyke, a Scheduled Ancient Monument, and its associated long distance footpath bisect the site.”
